What are the tubes of Tornado Boats made of?
The Tornado boats tubes are made of the best PU fabric available. PU or Polyurethane boasts unparalleled attributes in terms of its resistance to abrasion and its capability to withstand even the most extreme temperature conditions.
Can you tell me about the benefits of using Polyurethane (PU) tubes over Hypalon tubes in rigid inflatable boats?
Polyurethane (PU) tubes offer excellent abrasion resistance and can withstand a wide range of temperatures. Additionally, they are lighter than Hypalon tubes, which can improve fuel efficiency and handling. PU tubes are also considered more environmentally friendly in terms of production and disposal.
Polyurethane is a superior material compared to common fabrics such as Hypalon and PVC. This is why military experts suggest using it for professional Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs). In 1993, the U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center conducted a study on polyurethane and its benefits for RIBs. The study’s Technical Memorandum revealed that “the Urethane coated fabric is considerably stronger than the Hypalon® coated fabric.”
Is the Tornado Boats hull capable of withstanding challenging conditions?
With a history spanning over 40 years, the Tornado Boats hulls has evolved through a series of rigorous tests and continual upgrades. The hull’s strength lies in its fiber reinforcements rather than the resin, which binds it together. To achieve the optimal balance between sturdiness and lightweight performance, Tornado Boats employs a strategic blend of polyester and vinyl ester.
What truly distinguishes the Tornado RIB from its counterparts in the market is its time-tested V-design hull. Enduring the test of time, this design has exhibited remarkable durability and strength for over four decades, effectively enhancing speed while minimizing fuel consumption. Furthermore, it guarantees superior safety, maneuverability, and adaptability, establishing itself as the ultimate preference for any passionate boating enthusiast.
What kind of guarantee does Tornado Boats provide?
Tornado Boats offers a three-year guarantee for personal use and a two-year guarantee for commercial use. This guarantee covers manufacturing or material defects in the boat.
How can I inflate the tubes of my Tornado Boat correctly?
Important. Inflate boat bow first and work your way to the rear.
Deflating: If you need to deflate the Tornado Boat, then start from the rear.
Correct Tube pressure is: 0.2 bar (3psi). Never use the boat with less than 0.1 bar of tube pressure. This can damage the tube and will void the warranty.
